Racks is a web-based digital archive documenting abandoned bicycles across London as neglected urban bodies. Using fieldwork, photography, mapping, writing, and photogrammetry, I record real bikes in real locations and preserve them as animated 3D scans.
Enlarged and hovering over the city as alien forms, the bicycles gain a monumental presence, exposing ownership, disappearance, neglect, and unresolved human traces.
